Stripes, Jewels & Handbags

Stripes... to wear, or not to wear?  We women sometimes fear, or stray away from wearing stripes, especially the bold stripes or the horizontal ones.  Why is this?  It's all because of an old fashion rule, which says they are not flattering unless you are very slim.  This is all untrue.  All you need to keep at the forefront of your mind when you are choosing your clothes is that the garment fits properly.  Stripes can be fun in your wardrobe and they are no longer a trend in fashion they have graduated to Fashion Staple status!
Take a look at some of these stripe outfit examples below.  I hope that you get inspired to wear stripes the rest of this summer and this fall.

It's A Shoe Thing!

What makes women want drawn to shoes?  Will we ever know the answer to this question?  I really don't think we will.  It's like men drawn to cars, they can talk about them any time, or turn their head when they see them.  We turn our heads when we see a beautiful shoe, we even buy them if they aren't comfortable because they look good!  It's a shoe thing!  Women love shoes and they make any outfit complete.  So, go for it ladies, fill your closet!  Here are some picks that I found from the 2015 styles that are popular on the streets.

Larger ankle straps are very big this year and look great!  I love this pink, black and white combo.

I really love yellow.  It is such a bold color and states such confidence when you wear it.  If you are one of those people who feel you can't really wear yellow, you don't have to wear it next to your face.  Add a touch of yellow.  Try yellow as an accessory or wear it as a bottom piece, such as shorts, pants or a skirt.  Take a look at how mustard, lemon, canary, sunflower... all of these shades of yellow are brightening up summer for these ladies in this week's street style looks.

Not Just A White T-Shirt

Do you ever have something that you want to wear and search and search the closet for something to pair with it?  Well I tell you, search no more!  I bet you never thought of just grabbing your crisp white 'T' and you are all set!  That white t-shirt is not just a white t-shirt anymore.  It is an essential part of every woman's closet.  As a matter of fact, I truly believe that we should all own at least two sleeveless, two capped sleeve, two short sleeve, and two long sleeve.   The reason I say two of each is because they come in different thicknesses.

This 'T' is paired with black leather pants and dressed up with the red heels.  I love this look.  It really goes from day into night just throw on any color of jacket to make it an evening outfit.

Don't be afraid to pair the 'T' with your skirts too!  Take a look at the way these ladies styled their white t-shirt!  Also keep in mind it is really in to wear printed T's too.  So if you want, wear a solid pencil skirt with a print 'T'.
